and his name is...

Charles Robert

"Charlie"
We finally decided on his name! Charles was my great grandfather's name. Robert is Johnny's middle name and his grandfather's middle name.

Both of our boys will have part of Johnny's name in their name. Jack is a form of John and Robert is his middle name.

white donuts

when we got pregnant with jack, mary looked through molly's old clothes and sent us everything that could be worn by a boy. this was one of the pajama sets that she sent us. i think it is cute and i like to think about that molly wore it also :)

jack LOVES "white donuts". he would get them every time we went to the grocery store if i would let him. this is after a snack of white donuts!!

we went to columbus for the weekend and jack had a blast as usual! saturday afternoon we went to feed the ducks/geese. i wish the weather would have been better. it started lightning so we had to leave, but jack had a great time and was very excited about feeding them.

our family afternoon in auburn

we went to auburn on the way to columbus friday afternoon. oh how i love that place!!! johnny and i both dream of living there :) we had a lot of fun walking around and getting jack his first "lemernade" from toomer's corner. the main reason why we *had* to stop by was to take jack's picture in front of the famous trees! so sad! jack's favorite part of the whole trip was running up a temporary ramp that they put in front of langdon hall until the real one was built in the back.

zoo day with clara and andrea

we had a fun time at the zoo with andrea and clara (who jack calls " angela" and "fuara"). we actually hardly saw any animals. it takes so long for them to walk around the zoo!!

jack was brave yesterday and decided to pet the goat. he hasn't wanted to pet the goats in a long time!

23 weeks

23 weeks (i am always late posting this, but i am still in my 23rd week)
he is over 11 inches.
he is kicking higher and higher in my belly!

mcwane morning

jack and i went to the mcwane center this morning. i asked jack what he wanted to do today when he got up and he said "go to the museum". i have no idea where he got that from...probably curious george or something. anyway, i said how about the mcwane center instead. he of course said yes! i think he calls it "the mickeywane center". when i was putting his shoes on he said "see levi". we met my cousin and her son levi at the mcwane center not too long ago and i guess he remembered it and wanted levi to be there!

i wonder if jack will always stick his tongue out when he is concentrating!!

the updated the fish room. they put carpet on the floor and painted. it looks really good!

we went to jason's deli friday night and had a great family dinner! jack really ate well. he ate his grilled cheese triangles without me cutting it into bites for the first time! he also got an ice cream cone for the first time. he did great with it and LOVED it!

trails of africa

we finally saw the elephants!! yay! we went to the zoo after church yesterday and had a great time. it was nice to just be the 3 of us together. we ate lunch at the new trails of africa cafe and watched the elephant walk around as we ate.

as we were walking away the zookeepers were coming to feed it. i was WAY too hot to stay and watch! it's only march and i am already hot....this summer is going to be rough!!

magic wand

jack found a glow stick the other day and asked for if he could have it. so we turned off the lights in his bedroom and he started to play with it. he had a blast! then he started doing magic with it. it was too funny!! i couldn't figure out where he got what he was saying from until a little while ago. i remembered that there is a freshbeat band episode that one of the characters does magic and he can't remember what he is supposed to say to make something appear. anyway, jack is making up his own sounds but it is the same tune.

triangle park

jack and i went to triangle park this morning. it was great weather!! i am in love with spring and wish it could stay this way forever! i just wish spring did not bring bees with it! we stayed for an hour and had fun every second of it. when i told jack we needed to go so we could get lunch, he said "moe's!" i guess he likes moe's. i told him that i could make him a quesadilla and we could watch cars. he took me up on it. we when we walked in his door he went right to his white table and said "let's eat!" i guess the park made him work up an appetite! yay! (he not only ate all of his quesadilla, he ate yogurt, apple, and gummies.)

we had a picnic at railroad park today! i wish we had shade, but really it was a beautiful day! jack did great and sat and ate all of his lunch before he got up to play :)
i love that johnny has time that he can do this with us!
