this is jack's play area while we were packing. he did cross the pillow baracade but it atleast slowed him down. as you can see pete is alway right there by jack. pete loves to come in jack's room and hide behind the chair.

7 months
jack is getting so big! he is pulling up on everything and doing it really well. he has learned that when he lets go of the coffee table or whatever he is holding on to that he needs to brace himself and get ready for the fall. so he plops on his bottom or knees and puts his hands on the ground...no longer face plants!! he LOVES pete. i think pete will be his first word. when we went to get pete from grandmol's today jack's eyes lit up and he started to smile and kick his legs. he loves his pup and they are already best friends! he loves to crawl toward anything but his toys!! well he still loves his toys, but he also loves pete's toys, our shoes, paper, etc! all things a baby should not have! he is no longer a vegetarian. he ate chicken noodle dinner and loved it. he eats at the table with us now! it is fun. he is starting to make different sounds and voices...we think he will be talking pretty soon. he is still a happy and sweet baby!

our new house!
we moved in last friday, may 22nd. the movers came to our apartment at 8:15 am and started packing our stuff into the van. turns out we have a ton of stuff because it took them almost 4 hours to pack up and we have over 7,000 pounds on the van! i left with jack around 10:45 and got to the house around 4:00...not a fun ride! johnny and pete left around 1:30 and got to the house around 5:30. then the movers got here around 6:00. they got everything moved in pretty quick and in its place. i am so thankful that we had movers. i would highly recommend that anybody with a baby get movers. it saved my life and johnny's back! anyway, here are a few pictures of jack in our new house...we will take pictures of it when everything is finished.

our first meal in our new house!!

pete enjoying our deck...which is soon to be a screened in porch thanks to my dad :)

happy 4th anniversary

i can't believe we have already been married for four years!!! time flies! we have had a very eventful four years, but this last year has been by far the most eventful. we had a baby, johnny graduated medical school, and we moved into our first house! what a GREAT year! i can't wait to see what the next year brings us!

jason and lori's wedding

we had so much fun this weekend at our friend's wedding. it was the perfect wedding and reception. jack did sooooo good. he slept through the wedding (i was so thankful for that) and he danced at the reception. he really did kick his feet to the beat! crazy...we don't know where he got that from since both of us seem to have 2 left feet when it comes to dancing :)

graduation and mother's day

this is the first time jack sat in the cart at target. he loved it! he doesn't like to sit in his stroller in stores. he likes his stroller outside though! i know this looks kind of funny, but he isn't steady enough in the cart to not have something next to him...i need to start bringing blankets or something to put next to him.

graduation weekend

playing with his cousin molly

johnny's family (mom, mary, molly, jimmy, dad, rise, phillip, and becky) and my family (mom, dad, and michele) came in town for johnny's graduation. we had lots of fun visiting with everybody and seeing them play with jack. we are all so proud of johnny!

house played with jack on this overstuffed couch for about 20 to 30 minutes and jack had a blast! and then crashed :) pete was worn out from watching them play.

packing, packing, packing

we are packing up our apartment getting ready to move to birmingham and jack decided that he wanted to play in one of our boxes :)

jack is pulling up on EVERYTHING! he stands up by the couch, holding onto our legs, his bumbo, pillows, his excersaucer, etc. it is crazy what he can do! he is getting big!

as i mentioned before, we are packing for our big move...so this will probably be our last post until we get to b'ham. we are very excited about moving, but we are sad too. this was our first home after we got married, where we got pete, and where we brought jack home. we have already had to say goodbye to a lot of our friends, but we will see them again someday. i have a lot of great memories of the past four years in mobile and i am really excited about what the next four years will bring in birmingham!
