Joshua 1:9

Yesterday I had to do something that was really hard. I had to go get my baby's ashes. I started out the day thinking maybe today would be the day I made the dreaded phone call. Let me back up to a couple of months ago. I asked johnny to call because in my mind I was just sure that they had thrown them away since it had been 5 months since I had him. When johnny called the lady told him that they were still there and she would not get rid of them...she keeps them in her office forever just in case the parents come back years down the road...so sweet of her. But she said that I had to call for some reason. I was so angry that day!!! I could hardly stop crying. So I pushed it to the back of my brain. Yesterday morning I put on this cross necklace...
I haven't worn this necklace in like 6 months and just decided today it would look nice. I called while jack was at school and the sweet social worker said that she would meet me at my car so I wouldn't have to walk through the hospital. At nap time I did my devotional and then decided to look up the verse that is on the back of my necklace. It is Joshua 1:9 "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for The Lord your God will be with you wherever you go." Amazing!!! There is no doubt that God told me to wear that necklace!!! Then of course I started to cry! Then it started to rain outside. I thought to myself that the rain was God crying with me! He is amazing and my Comfort!!

So after nap time we went to pick up baby Isaiah's ashes. I picked johnny up so that we could do it together.

Then when we got home i got emotional because jack thought the box was a present and got really excited.

(The box on the left is the box they gave me when I had Isaiah to put my memories in. The box on the right is what they gave us with his ashes in. I am guessing some ministry paints them for people...they are special)

So we had to explain to Jack what was in the box. He got sad. He said "if it was a girl I would be really really sad." I told him it was a boy and told him his name. Then we just hugged. He seemed to understand. I am glad that he asked about the box because I might not have ever talked about it with him again. God knew that we needed to talk about it with jack.

I know I will always remember this sweet baby boy and can't wait to hold him again one day! Until then, I know that God is holding him for me

Mother's Day

I woke up before 7:00 and couldn't sleep anymore. I tried to sleep in but couldn't so came up front to my boys who just woke up and they both said, "happy Mother's Day!" That made me feel happy! I loved hearing Charlie say it this year!!

We went to church and Sunday school and then I requested five guys for lunch.

Then we went to the park

I am so thankful that God gave me these boys and made me a Momma!!!

Then I got to take a nap!!!!

I requested cupcakes too...healthy day :)

Then I ended the day by reading jack a book (I usually read to jack and johnny reads to Charlie)

Then I rocked Charlie for a few minutes. This is an every night request from him :)

Sweetest kisses!!

Happy Mother's Day to my momma who taught me how to be a loving mom!

Happy Mother's Day to my mother in law who has welcomed me into her family like I am one of her own!

Love to all of my momma friends...I am thankful for y'all and all of the momma advice!

May (so far)...

Charlie loves to make Johnny's coffee with him so johnny waits every morning for Charlie to wake up to make his coffee!

This is why I pick out jacks clothes...green shirt with green shorts (luckily he doesn't care to pick out his clothes...when the time comes for him to pick them out I guess I need to teach him what looks good)

Spider-batman and Spider-Man cane on a walk with me and Pete

Jack made a turtle costume. He designed it and drew circles for us to cut out. We thought he would not fit in it but he did!

He brought it for share day at school and it was a huge hit!! One if his classmates, Miley, asked if he would make her one...so he did!

Charlie reads a book every bedtime

Pete and stuffed Pete sleeping together

This past week was teacher appreciation week. Jack also picked out a candle for his teachers. (He also dropped a big candle on the floor at bath and body and it shattered. Not his or my best moment)

Jack drew and sounded out/wrote it all by himself!! It says "To Ms. Tiffany To Ms Kia Thank you"
When he brought it to me to see I asked what the purple dots and circles were and he pointed to his chest. I laughed and he looked at me like I was the meanest person ever. So I told him I loved it and loved that he worked so hard on it. Then I said that we can't draw pictures of private parts that are hidden by clothes and he said "they aren't, they poke out." Ha!!!

We made cookies for the teachers too

We wore yellow for wishbone day in honor of Maggie. It is the international awareness day for OI (osteogenesis imperfecta..."brittle bone disease")

We have been swimming after johnny gets off work

Jack made "our family coming home from Disney world" (jack has his telescope and Charlie has his sword)

My last day in the Florida MOPS group was this past Thursday and my friend Natalie made these for the people moving and Amanda framed them. Natalie is selling these (all states) for her adoption. Let me know if you want to buy one :) I am so thankful for the friendships that I have made through MOPS. I am especially thankful for Jen. I will be sad to leave her and her family!!!

Our last Disney day

We went to Disney for the last time as Florida residents on may 4th. When we woke up Saturday morning johnny said, " I think we should go to Orlando tonight so we don't have to drive in the morning". I was so excited!!!

Our room was great! We did Priceline negotiator and got a room for $45!! It had a chase lounge that was perfect for Charlie to sleep on :)

We rode the train over to fantasyland.

Jack was Maurice in the enchanted tales with belle. He did a great job and took his part seriously!!

It's a small world

Charlie rode his first roller coaster...the barnstormer. He loved it and wanted to ride again!

We finally rode dumbo. They have a play area inside the tent that you get a pager and it vibrates when it is time to get back in line. It was a little stressful to keep up with the kids to make sure you got them when the pager went off or make sure nobody stole them!!

The new parade is awesome!!

Repunzel blew a kiss at jack

Charlie woke up during the parade so he finally saw one!!

Haunted mansion. When we got in there jack said, "I take it back...I don't want to ride this." He ended up liking it though. Charlie on the other hand hated every second of it!!

Jack and I rode splash mountain together. It was so fun!!!

We are on the back row

Waiting in line for pirates of the Caribbean was long but the boys did pretty good.

Charlie's new habit

Peter Pan...such a great ride!!!

The back of the castle

We have loved our Disney experience!!! It has been so fun to see how happy the boys are when they are there!

(We have been to magic kingdom 5 times and all of the other parks once)
