splash pad

we went to the splash pad in gardendale, al yesterday afternoon with andrea and clara. jack had a blast! i thought he wasn't going to like it at first but after he got wet he was super brave and ran through all the water! of course after he was brave he would run back to me and make me check on him and wipe his eyes off :)

you can kind of tell from the picture how cool this place is...to bad it is out in the boonies and like over 30 minutes away. i think it is worth the 30 minute drive though.

this was one of his most favorite things there. it shot water out of it and moved up and down.

clara wasn't so sure about getting wet :) she was so funny though because she would get her feet wet in the stream of water but nothing else...it was too cute. i don't have a picture of it because i put my camera up so i could have both hands free.

after they played in the water for about 30-45 minutes it was off to the playground. i don't have any pics because i had already put my camera up and had a 20 month old to chase so i couldn't run grab it. oh well. i don't have to have pictures of every event in my child's life i guess. although i would if i could! johnny always makes fun of me because of how much i post on the blog. he says that i don't have to post everything that jack does. i say i do though! i want to remember everything and this is the best way for me to do it. i love scrapbooking but don't have the time for it anymore so this will have to do!

jack's favorite thing on the playground was the "tunnel". he would go up the stairs and then run to the tunnel slide (it was not super high so he didn't go too fast down it. i don't even know if it was a slide. all the other slides there were super high and he went way way too fast down them...so i wouldn't let him go down the others. luckily he was perfectly content on the tunnel slide!) then when he got to the bottom he would hop down and run to the stairs yelling "tunnel!"
