jack's 4th birthday

we started out the day letting jack open the present from us.

then we had pancakes with sprinkles in them :)

 after charlie's morning nap we went to the zoo

 it was perfect weather!

 charlie has learned to smile at the camera

 jack was obsessed with his map...he picked out everything to go see since it was his birthday

 we took a train ride

 of course we had to ring the bell

(we went to the gift shop to find something for his birthday/filling in his whole obeying momma and daddy chart and he didn't find anything that he was crazy about. we are going to the mcwane center on thursday so i told him we could look there. i was proud of him because he said ok and left without a toy.)

we went to chuck e cheese after nap to let jack play a few games

 after chuck e cheese we went to a japanese steak house

 jack got to help crack the eggs :)

 jack met a new friend...he makes friends where ever we go

 charlie was a little wiggle worm and was passed back and forth between grandma and johnny (and me a little)

 charlie and jack thought the volcano was cool :)

(we decided to make this a birthday tradition for jack)

 when we got home from the restaurant we had to have a birthday cake. (at 8:40 at night!!)

we had a wonderful day celebrating jack! he is such a wonderful 4 year old. he has such a sweet personality. he can talk to anybody! is always thinking of others and their needs. he loves to give hugs and tells me he loves me out of the blue! he is so smart and is doing so well in school. he loves charlie and is always looking out for him. he shares his toys with him (most of the time) and hugs him about 100 times a day (although charlie thinks he is just squishing him, but i know he is hugging him). i am so thankful for these 4 years with jack and can't wait to see what all he learns this year!
