friday night johnny decided to take jack camping in our backyard. jack has been talking about camping a lot lately so johnny and i have been discussing johnny camping out in the backyard and last weekend was a good one because we really didn't have any plans.
jack was super exciteed when johnny told him that he was going to "go camping". jack said something like "oh boy! we can roast marshmallows and tell stories!"
as you can see...they didn't quite "rough" it because we blew up the air mattress. we don't have a level grassy area in our backyard so we had to put it on our concrete pad.
jack did not like the roasted marshmallow because it was too hot
johnny did though! (and so did i)
about to go to sleep
jack did great! they got in the tent a little after 8:00 and they told stories, read books, and played with flashlights. jack came in to go potty at 9:15 and then went back out. johnny said that whenever he heard a noise he would shine his flashlight outside to see what it was :)
they fell asleep around 9:45 and slept until 6:15. then they talked for a few minutes and fell back asleep until 8:30!
i love johnny for bringing him camping. he is the best daddy ever!!
