chris, sarah, kate, and benjamin came to bham for a visit/interview this past weekend through wednesday. it was so nice to visit with them in person! sarah and i talk on the phone pretty much everyday, but it's not the same as it is in person because we have to get off the phone so much because of the kids needing something or just wanting our attention. not that our conversation in person didn't get interrupted but we could jump right back into it after dealing with a fight or some other kind of drama.
jack was being super bossy while they were here. he was telling kate what she could and couldn't do. in a way it was cute/funny, but in another big way it was annoying. but he was bossing her around with things we have told him he couldn't do before...things he knew were wrong. anyway, they did get along and kate wanted to come back so that means that jack didn't scare her too bad.
jack was really cute with benjamin...i can't wait until charlie is that size and jack can somewhat play with him and make him laugh!
we only took a few pictures the whole time they were here!! i can't believe that! anyway, here they are...

we celebrated chris' 30th birthday the first night they were here. johnny made shrimp and grits and sarah got him this awesome cake from dreamcakes. it weighed more than charlie i am sure!

chris didn't have a change of clothes after his interview so he borrowed johnny's dna shirt (cough...dorks...cough)
we did manage to get a group picture at momma goldberg'sit is always sad to say goodbye to them, but atleast we know (or think we know) that they will be back down this direction soon! (we can't wait for them to live in the south again!)

So sad to leave! We had a great time with you guys as always. :) That cake WAS awesome but I want that shrimp and grits recipe. So yummy!!! We'll be back soon. :)
