well i survived the rafting trip!! we camped friday and saturday night and had a lot of fun except for the terrible night of sleep friday night due to the fact that we had a huge group of frat guys right by us playing cornhole and loud music until the wee hours of the night! i had enough at 2 am and told johnny i was going over there to tell them to turn down the music. he said that he couldn't let me go by myself...i am so glad he went with me cause seeing about 40 guys sitting around a bonfire was a bit scary! anyway once they turned down the music i was fine and got a whopping 4 hours of sleep!
saturday morning we started the rafting adventure around 9:00 with some rules and safety advice that freaked me out!! haha. then we got on a bus for a 25 minute trip to the top of the river. we got right in and started paddling.
when we would come up on a rapid our guide would tell us what it was named and why. well that about freaked me out everytime!! i know i had fun cause i would catch myself smiling but i was so glad when it was over. i was exhausted!!
the 2 most scary points of the trip were...
1) surfing humongous (this was on the 1996 olympic course). we almost flipped over, but somehow we didn't. we lost johnny, jason, and tian. my hands were shaking after this so hard. everybody was fine though! thank goodness it wasn't me that flipped out cause i don't know if i would have finished the trip :)
2) we got stuck on a bunch of rocks after "rescuing" 4 other people from a boat that flipped over. i was so scared that we were going to flip on top of rocks and that a 250+ pound man was going to land on top of me!! but our guide was awesome and some how managed to get us out of a nasty situation with out any major damage!
we had a lot of fun, but i told johnny that i will not be going rafting for a long time. i was so tired from being so scared that i could hardly move afterwards :) haha!

sunday on our way home we stopped by ty and emmie's house for a quick visit and some brunch. it was good to see them and we are planning to go up in october to visit for a whole weekend and let frank and jack play together!
