i just wanted to write a little post about my sweet jack! everywhere i go people tell me how sweet he is :) really, i get it at school, at publix, at target, from my friends, from the grandparents, from his teacher...and he truly is so very sweet! he is loving and caring and understands feelings.(he said to me when frank and jack were going to leave mimi and papa, "mimi and papa are going to be so sad that both of her sweet baby boys are leaving at the same time.")...i mean seriously how sweet is that?! he loves to hug and to invite people over to his house....which i think is so kind!
jack loves to be around me all day. of course that bothers me sometimes,
but really i want to cherish the moments that he wants me around
because i know one day will come that he won't want me there anymore.
i know that he has his moments, but every kid does. he just gets soooo
excited when people come over to his house. yes he jumps on the
furniture and builds forts out of our couch pillows ALL the time, but i
think that is cute and using his imagination.
he is so smart! he knows how to count to at least 30, knows his abc's, knows what sound a lot of the letters make, can write his name like a champ now, loves to draw "swamp animals", is doing much better obeying his parents, shares with charlie (most of the time), follows rules, loves books, still loves tv, tries new foods (every now and then), still does not like ground meat, LOVES to hug charlie, will randomly say he loves me, asks A LOT of questions, loves God, and much much more!
i once had a very good friend that told me that they didn't want to be our friends anymore because "jack stressed them out". they did not have any kids at the time. this has bothered me ever since she told me that half a year ago. i know i need to let this go. i just want her to know how amazing this little boy is. i want everybody to know that! he is such a joy and is one of the biggest blessings God has ever given me. they are missing out on seeing what a great little 4 year old jack has become.
they just adopted a baby boy and i am happy for them, but i am also kind of hoping that he likes to jump on the furniture and that he gets super excited when people come over and wants to talk their ears off :) then they will see that jack wasn't stressing them out...that he was just being sweet, loving, and kind. they should have thought of it as a compliment, to know that jack liked them that much that he wanted to show them all of his toys and show them all of his tricks :) i also hope that now that they have a child of their own that they realize how badly someone saying that their child stresses them out hurts.
(i know that jack will read this post one day...so, jack, please know that the people that said that you stressed them out were crazy and didn't realize how amazing you are! there will be people in your life that will hurt you, but just try to forget about them and learn from their mistakes.)
jack, you are amazing and the sweetest booger bear there ever was!! momma and daddy love you to pieces!!
