9 months

jack is 9 months old as of 7-21-09!!
i can't believe that jack is 9 months already! it seems like just yesterday when he was a tiny baby that we were bringing home from the hospital. time flies when you are having fun!!!

he weighs 20 pounds 5 ounces (50th percentile)
he is 29 1/4 inches long (75th percentile)
his head circumference is 18 1/4 inches (75th percentile)

he had his doctor's appointment today and did great! it was my first time going by myself with jack. i was a little nervous, but i shouldn't have been because jack was awesome! he laid perfectly still on the table for the doctor to examine him and smiled when the doctor looked in his ear :) on the other hand he hated the shot that the nurse gave him. oh man, he cried so hard...it was so sad! but after i calmed him down he was back to happy smiling jack.

here are a few things about jack at 9 months old:
* he has a tooth!!it officially came in yesterday on his 9 month birthday!
* he says "dada", "hee" for pete, "blah blah blah", and this morning he said "mama"(not to me though...just at a toy)
* he points with his left hand and grabs with his right
* he "cruises" along the couch or whatever he can stand up by
* he has taken 2 steps...not at the same time
* he is eating 3 "solid" meals a day (he loves apples with chicken and carrots with bananas)
* loves to bang on things
* dances to music
*pulls our hair

* throws a ball for pete

* reaches out for us

*chews on anything and everything!

he is still our crazy man and also the sweetest, smartest baby in the world who we love to pieces and could just eat up!
