more pillow creations

jack has a huge obsession with taking the pillow off our couch and making something out of them. i usually let him go to town because i like to see what his imagination makes. sometimes it is a bit annoying, like when i need to feed charlie and he refuses to give me a pillow to put behind my back which usually ends in tears. i also don't like when he wants to take them off when we have guests over. but other than that i let him build, build, build.

we went to a music class last thursday and then played on the soccer field. jack liked the music class this time and LOVED playing on the soccer field.

charlie got to play with everything in the den while jack was at school today and loved chewing on his space station :)

on a side note: jack bit his first friend today (actually 2). i couldn't believe it when i got the call today! i sure hope he never does that again!

columbus visit

we went to columbus this past weekend and had a lot of fun! we went to the circus saturday night and i forgot my camera!! i was so mad because i bring my camera EVERYWHERE!! oh well! jack loved the elephants and the dogs. charlie seemed to like it too and even fell asleep toward the end (i don't know how he could fall asleep with all the loud noises).

sunday morning we went to visit dot at the nursing home and ms. daisy. dot is my parent's good friend who comes over for drinks a few nights a week. we all love dot! ms. daisy is the sweetest woman and she loves jack. we don't really know why she loves jack so much because we don't know if she has ever met him in person. my mom says that she brought a picture to bingo and ms. daisy held it. well, now she says, "i used to hold him and he would just look up at me" and "he's my sweet little white boy". i realize as i type this that it may sound kind of sad, but it really is sweet and cute. ms. daisy has the sweetest voice and is just very kind. she is always reading her bible :)

don't let these pictures fool you...jack was extremely shy and would hardly let mimi put him down. he does love dot though and finally let mimi put him down in her room.

jack, charlie, and i went to the store yesterday and i let jack pick out a toy for being a good boy while johnny was in texas. (thank goodness he is back by the way...i don't know how the single moms out there do it!) anyway, he picked of course a talking buzz lightyear and a few other toys that were a little expensive for a just because present. so i talked him into getting a game that we can play over and over. we got cootie. i have never played it before, but i knew jack would like it because you build bug looking things. it teaches counting. we have already had a lot of fun with it!

he is really starting to figure out how to move around. he does an "army man" crawl. it is too cute! we are going to have our hands really full in a few days :) jack better watch out because all of his toys are going to be taken over!!

i know i say this in every post, but it is so true...charlie thinks the world of jack!

he thinks he is so awesome that he wants all the toys that he plays with.

i have always heard from people that once they can start playing together life gets easier. well, i think they will be right...or atleast i hope! i hope jack loves charlie as much as charlie love jack.

(jack wanted to feed charlie sooo bad so i let him have a shot at it...i think we will be waiting on that for a while!!)

hopefully jack will let charlie into his club when he makes one. i wanted to be a part of my brother's ghostbusters club soooooo bad and he wouldn't let me! thanks a lot ty..i am still sad i wasn't a part of your club!

charlie napping the other day...i love a sleeping baby! i put him to sleep on his back and he almost immediately flips to his belly to sleep.

jack and charlie are slowly becoming buddies and it makes this momma's heart very happy! charlie already thinks the world of jack and i think it makes jack happy to see him smile at him and laugh at/with him.

charlie can make his way all around our den. it is really cute to watch. he does this army man crawl, but slowly. he rolls and rolls around the room and when he stumbles upon something that he wants to play with he will stay put for a while. he is so happy to play on his own...i am very thankful for that!

anyway, he made his way over to the fireplace and chomped on the hearth. the safety pads have come in handy with our little ones!

we made a craft to frame to put out at valentine's day each year

jack did NOT want to paint his foot...he really just wanted to do his handprint, but i told him that that is not work for our craft. so he got to do his own handprints. really he just likes to paint his hand and arm.

we went to the mama and me valentine's day party last thursday and had a lot of fun! lindsey decorated everything so cute. this is the only picture that i took.

i love when i get to snuggle with jack! charlie was still asleep when jack woke up so we snuggled and watched a movie (well part of one) together until he woke up

charlie isn't crawling yet but he can make his way to a toy. he either does the "stretch side to side" way or he rolls to it.

jack's valentine's day party

charlie and i went to jack's party today. one of the parents sent pink marshmallows with white chocolate and heart sprinkles on it. well, apparently jack had been eyeing those marshmallows all day! so right when i got there he showed them to me and reached for them twice :) his teacher told him that he had to eat lunch first. this made him sad...
so i sat down with him and he finally ate his lunch and even ate string cheese! we sent pretzels and he was very proud of them and asked for more 3 times :)
i don't know why he always unfolds his napkin like this. he did it at the last party too.

with his valentine's bag. we looked at all of them when we got home. he was very excited to get some sweethearts!
i tried one...they changed the taste of them (either that or my taste have changed) because i actually like them now.

bath time

we gave jack and charlie a bath together for the first time last night.
they kind of ignored eachother. oh well! jack did play in charlie's tub with his toys. maybe we should wait a while before they take baths together.

7 months old

* started to not nurse him to sleep yesterday (he did pretty well with it...only cried for a few minutes before i went in to put the pacie back in his mouth and he fell asleep instantly)
* rolls all over the place
* not crawling yet...stretches to each side until he finally gets to the toy that he wants (or rolls to the toy)
* loves to eat, whether it be nursing or baby food.
* favorite baby food seems to be the fruit (apples, pears, oatmeal with apples), but also loves sweet potatoes and carrots
* least favorite baby foods are peas and squash

* no teeth
* still wears a size 3 diaper
* wears 6-12 month clothes
* he is still my chunky baby but he is thinning out :(
* still wakes up 3 times in the night to eat!! ugh! i am trying the cry it out thing to go to sleep, but can't do it in the middle of the night because jack will wake up. last night he went a 4.5 hour stretch, but then woke up 2 hrs in between feedings to balance it out :) atleast he goes right back to sleep after eating
* loves to watch and listen to jack and has started to laugh at him in the car (so so cute)
* takes 2 naps a day (10:00 and 1:00)
* goes to bed around 7:30 or 8:00
* still the happiest baby i have ever seen!
