a few treats

jack already has a favorite sonic drink :) his favorite is a cherry slush.

jack and i went to babies r us yesterday just to look around (i secretly wanted to look at the pacies because we are down to 2 and i wanted to see what they had similar to jack's weird kind that you can't find anywhere). i actually found 2 packs (they both had a pink and green one in there)...i got one pack just to have....just in case!
anyway, jack of course wanted to hold every toy in the store. i normally don't buy him anything because i don't want him to expect that everytime we go to the store, but i always let him play with it for a little while to make our shopping trip easier. but i couldn't pass up the buzz lightyear. it is actually bubble bath, but he doesn't know that. so this weekend we are going to pour out the bubble bath and glue his head on (i just think that would be truamatizing to see buzz lightyear's head fall off (that is how you get to the bubble bath). it was only $5 and jack is in love!! he talked to it all throughout the store and in old navy. he has carried it around the house.
now if only i could find a $5 woody and jessie!
when you ask jack what woody says, he says "i'm a cowboy" in a southern accent.
then when you ask what jessie says, he says "it's you, it's you" and "yodel a he who"
when asked what buzz says, he says (in his own way) "to infinity and beyond"

we have been having a lot of fun in our yard lately. jack's imagination makes it fun!

jack likes to pick the long grass and he feeds it to the long neck dinosaur (a tall skinny tree in our yard)

our blog is back in action!! whoo hoo!
i have a good bit to catch up on but i am way too tired tonight.
johnny and jack went to the botanical gardens last saturday so that i could go to a consignment sale. from what they both said when i got home i guess they had a lot of fun together! i had fun at the sale and got a few things for both my boys!!

johnny said that jack stayed on the bridge for a while looking at the fish.

i can't blog :(

i haven't been able to post in a while because i ran out of space on my blog. crazy! i guess i blog too much :) anyway, thanks to sarah i figured out a way to buy more space, but now i have to wait up to 24 hours to blog. oh well! sorry to the 2 people that read my blog :)

(johnny got me the beautiful tulips...he hid them in the guest bedroom so that i would wake up to flowers on the table. he also got me a southern living magazine subscription and all of my favorite chocolate. i got him candy and beer)

we had a great valentine's day! 3 years ago we found out we were pregnant with jack on valentine's day...so it will always be a special day to us!!

he has been playing by himself really well lately! i LOVE it. i love watching him and hearing him talk to his toys. he was feeding buddy and tiny all kinds of food the other night. he even salted the fries for them :)

we went to our ultrasound today. the ultrasound tech said that she wanted us to come back in 3 weeks to make sure because he wasn't cooperating. we didn't get a good picture of his face because he was turned and was very comfortable! i'm not complaining because i would love to go every week to see my little man!

we are super excited that jack will have a brother to run around the house with :) i am very out numbered though...we have johnny, jack, baby boy #2, pete, and our 3 fish have boy names!!! haha! i went into this pregnancy saying that i wanted a brother for jack to play with and God gave that to us. the baby looks healthy and everything measured right on track...praise God!

17 weeks

random activities

we went over to clara's house last week and the kids had a tea party. clara and andrea made cookes and we brought some french fries. they thought it was fun!
they are really starting to play well together!

i found a playdoh set that i bought for jack a LONG time ago when i cleaned out his closet and decided to see if he would like to play with it on one of our many cold rainy days. he for sure loves playdoh! we play with it atleast 2 times a day.

we have been looking at carpet for our den. it is more expensive than we thought, but we hope that it will somehow help our house sell when we put it on the market (we have years for that). we are also ripping out the carpet in all the bedrooms because we noticed that we have hard wood floors in all the bedrooms!! then we have to look for rugs...it never ends!

jack has been wanting to play in his room more lately. one of his favorite things to do is hide under his crib.
he also loves to throw the balls from his ball pit into his crib. it is a good rainy day activity too!

we went through the car wash yesterday because the birds have been bombing our car! yuck!!

i missed it

i called this post i missed it because jack would say that after every jump he made. i guess i said it last time when i was taking pictures of him jumping off of the huggies box.
i thought he was brave jumping off of the huggies box, but now he is really brave! he decided to try this the other night and landed like a gymnast every time. today i guess he was too excited to see the picture because he would fall to his knees when he landed. he would run over and say "let me see".

i am really trying to remember to take my picture every week, but every night we just get too busy. so last night i decided to take one by myself...johnny was still at work.
i am still feeling good. my stomach is a little too full by the end of the day, but that's ok.
