friday night after the auburn/alabama game (yay for auburn winning) we went out for ty's 32nd birthday.

for our real thanksgiving we went over to johnny's mom's house. we went early so that jack could take a nap and we could eat at 1:00. it was so nice to eat a meal without him :) i got to savor my meal and take my time.
we have been watching a lot of the movie cars lately. jack loves this movie!
he likes to build a bridge (that's what he calls it) and drive the train over it
there is a part in cars when mater and mcqueen go tractor tipping. jack loves that part and made his train tip and made the noise the tractors made. i thought it was so funny!!
our wild child uses our couch as a trampoline. fun for him...scary for mom!

i babysat clara last week for a few hours. jack thought it was great!! clara was very excited to play with all her toys and said "bye" to her mom without even looking back! they had a lot of fun together!! i love the look jack is giving clara...like she is so cool!

since the weather was so awesome this past week, jack and i have been going outside! we went to overton park, the zoo, and botanical gardens (i don't have any pics of the gardens though). i love spending time with my little man!

jack has asked to bring a book in the crib with him a few times lately and this is how i found him when i went in to check on him!
we went to the zoo with maddie and beth last week. we had a lot of fun catching up!
jack finally got on the blanket at kindermusic!!! he is twirling his hair though so he needed a little comfort (meaning he was a little nervous)

this is the first time that i have really noticed jack's imagination taking off! he picked up a small branch that had green leaves on it and reached up to the tree and said "dinosaur, eat"!! he was feeding the dinosaur :) it was so cute! this went on and on the whole time i raked the yard.

we went to the moss rock festival last weekend. (kelly you did a great job!!) jack really liked playing in the golf cart!
jack didn't know what to think about carving our pumpkin. i think i had high hopes and thought he would love it. i thought he would think it was really cool to dig out the insides. he didn't want to touch it! he used the spoon a little and tried to get out the guts, but wasn't strong enough. he liked just sitting back and watching us. turns out carving a pumpkin with a 2 year takes a while...like an hour (but we stopped to eat lunch).

we went trick or treating with robby, andrea, and clara last night in crestline. we were invited to a party in crestline so we thought we would trick or treat there. we stopped by the party for just a minute and then let the kids go have fun! crestline was amazing!! all the houses take part in handing out candy and really go all out! they decorate really cute. jack and clara had a blast! jack really seemed to understand what to do. he would walk up to the houses and say "trick or treat" and then pick a piece or candy (or 2). he would even walk away and then try to turn back to get more (i didn't let him). i can't wait for next year!!

he is obsessed with mail boxes right now. when we drive down the road he will say mailbox...mailbox...mailbox. so of course he was obsessed with them last night too!

we went out to eat at la paz after trick or treating and jack and clara had so much fun! they were so cute together!
