biloxi

we went to biloxi yesterday to see my parents. we went to the hard rock after the beau rivage because my dad and i got free buffetts since it was the month of our birthdays. it was very yummy!! i ate too much of the vegetable lo mein though and didn't have enough room for dessert. it was lots of fun though!!

my parents came down to mobile and brought our crib. my dad and johnny put it together!! they are so good...it actually went up really quick.

beerfest 2008

we went to beerfest this past weekend. we had lots of fun with jason and lori. it was cool that night because of tropical storm faye. when we were heading down there to find tickets for jason and lori we saw an aligator in a boat painted like camo. it was like 8 ft long that somebody had hunted and for some reason parked their boat downtown and left it there. it was very interesting!! i had a lot of fun seeing johnny trying new beers and talking with jason and lori. we walked a lot and i was tired when we got home but while we were there i didn't feel tired at all.

this is in one of the bars downtown. johnny had only had like half a beer here so he is not drunk...he is just being silly :) he actually didn't drink that much beer the whole night because they have a fill line on the mug which was like a 3rd of a beer or something like that.

jason and lori after we ate some mexican food. we ate under our umbrellas because it started to rain for like the first time that night...perfect timing. somebody told us we looked very european :)

pete

i put this bib on pete (before i washed it). i just thought it was so cute so i had to post it :)

johnny's suit, 30 weeks, and my 26th birthday

johnny got me flowers and he also got me my chair for the nursery, but it won't come in for another couple of weeks.

johnny cooked me breakfast on my birthday. he was going to make me breakfast in bed but i woke up and came out to see what he was doing and ruined his surprise...oops! (the coffee is decaf)

we finally got some of our furniture for jack's room!! we love it. we will get our crib next weekend when my parents bring it down for us :)

dot's painting and dad's bookshelf

these are a couple of gifts we got at the shower that i thought everybody would be impressed with. the painting is by my mom's friend dot and my dad built and painted the bookshelf for jack. we loved all the gifts we got at the shower and thank everybody for being so nice to us. we were really glad that johnny's mom and sue got to come from birmingham to the shower.

dot is around 80 years old and just recently took up painting as a hobby. i think she is really good and can capture the real personality of the animals that she paints.

my dad did a great job with jack's bookshelf and my mom did a great job matching the paint to jack's bedding. they make a good team!! my mom has been searching for all the books that were on my cousins list that her kids liked to fill up the bookshelf. also johnny's sister mary and neice molly sent us some books that molly likes to read to jack. my mom's friend gave us some good books too. so we will have a lot of books to read to jack in his new room!! thanks everybody!
