jack's 4th birthday party

my parents came friday evening and gave jack part of his birthday present. he was so excited to get one of the switch and go dinos he wanted :)

we had jack's 4th birthday party at the fire station and park. it was such a great party! the fire fighters were so nice and so good with the kids. they made jack feel really special! we couldn't have asked for better weather for an outdoor birthday party in october. the park was great. all of the kids played well and nobody got hurt! it was a great day!!

 when we got home from the party we ate la paz and opened presents. jack got another switch and go dino from frank! i wish i had video taped him opening all of his presents. he is so much fun and loved EVERY present!!

 after church we went to botanical gardens for a bit

 if jack sees gravel he HAS to pick it up and most likely will ask us if we want to feel it. 

 this picture was just a quick little shot i got of them being sweet. i can't believe that it turned out so cute!

my crawling 15 month old! jack was already walking for 6 months at this point :)

grandma and jimmy came over that night for dinner and then we walked over to a block party. it was nice to meet some of our neighbors!

they are playing better together though. they play chase and charlie wants to play with everything jack is playing with. he loves to play in jack's forts. usually jack lets him play in them, but sometimes he wants them all to himself...understandable to me, but not to charlie :)

st. jude trike-a-thon

jack's school had a trike-a-thon to raise money for st. jude. it was adorable!! jack didn't win...in fact, he came in last place, but when johnny got home from work that day he told him that he won :)

chattanooga

 we went to chattanooga last weekend to visit ty, emmie, frank, and mamie (if jack was sitting here reading what i was typing...not that he can read, but you know what i mean...and meg and bea--the dogs) 

we had so much fun! i love watching jack and frank play together. they are really so good with eachother. my brother's new house is awesome! it was such a great weekend!

 on the way home we made a detour to visit namer and let her meet charlie. the boys were so good and jack loved talking to namer and rubbing her hands and arms. i am so glad that they have spent some time with their great grandmother!

 mamie and charlie didn't really get to play together much because the boys kind of took over the space and well, they were in their highchairs a lot!! haha!

we went to a park that has great slides!!
