charlie's birthday party

 on charlie's birthday we went swimming at my parent's hotel

 he tried milk for the first time...and liked it!! for those of you who know how i have struggled with charlie drinking out of a sippy cup and the fear that i had of him never being able to wean because he can't drink out of any bottle/cup we own...well i am feeling relieved because he drank a whole sippy of milk yesterday! 

he is drinking out of the nuby sippy with a silicone spout. he still doesn't do well with one he actually has to suck hard to get milk out, but i will take what i can get!!

 mimi took charlie out to see his balloons...that flew away before his party started :(

 Happy 1st Birthday Charlie!!!

 from the moment i laid my eyes on my sweet baby charlie i fell in love.

 charlie made us a family of four

 

 and he made jack a big brother!

 

 we love you when you are sad 

 

 and when you are happy!

 

 we are so proud of what all you have done and learned this past year! you are such a sweet, happy baby. you are laid back and such an easy baby!  

about charlie at 12 months:

* not walking, but do walk behind a push toy

* eating real food like a champ

*foods he has tried:

- grilled cheese, chicken nuggets, strawberries, avacado, cake, biscuit, noodles, green beans, string cheese, crackers (probably more, but i am blanking on what else)

* still eats baby food

* sleeping through the night! 

* tried milk on his first birthday

* pretends to talk on the phone

* still wears size 4 diapers

 

he has an appointment on wednesday so we will see how much he has grown!

fire man the super hero

 i took jack to get a prize for finishing swim lessons...he (well i kinda helped) picked a water table

 we went to the outlets saturday and there was face painting booth. jack picked the flames and then called himself "fire man". he was so adorable! the walk back to the car he said, "i am fire man. i am the coolest super hero in the whole live world." " i may be small, but i am the strongest."

he would blow air on us like he was blowing fire out of his mouth.

 it is a sad day for me because i think our babyfood days are almost over. i mean i am glad he is growing up but i want him to stay my baby. with jack it was so much easier for him to get out of the baby phase...not with charlie. he ate a whole grilled cheese sunday for lunch!
