cinco de mayo weekend

 we have a momma bird that always makes her nest in our porch (there is a little space above our door that we never finished). the babies have hatched and were trying to fly out the other day. we had a lot of fun watching them. the momma is like me in some ways...she bribed them with food to fly where she flew to try to lead them to the opening. she would go and check on each one of them to make sure they were ok too..it was sweet!

 we went to one of jack's classmates birthday parties saturday and jack liked the hammock...we actually ended up missing clara's party because silly me thought it started at 4:00 for some reason. so we rushed out of the door just to get there at the very end to watch clara open her presents. i was super mad at myself!!

 botanical gardens...we had a pizza picnic and walked around instead of going out for cinco de mayo

 showing off our awesome double stroller. i LOVE this stroller and highly recommend it to anybody that has a older child that wants to walk, but sometimes either gets tired or you need them to ride.

 we had robby and andrea over for dinner sunday and they brought clara's new cotton candy maker that she got for her bday. it was fun!

10 months

about charlie at 10 months:

* can get to a sitting position from his tummy

* weighs 21 pounds 12 ounces

* said "mama"

* drops a toy from his highchair on purpose and looks up at me to see if i saw him

* likes yogurt

* size 4 diapers

* size 12-18 month clothes and some 24 month clothes

* i have a feeling a tooth is going to be coming in soon

* cries when jack gets out of the car to go to school

* gets really excited when johnny comes home from work
* got his first tooth (5-8-12)
* pulled up to a standing position (5-7-12)

dot to dot monsters

 i out baby einstein on for charlie today...look who watched it and who didn't!

 i saw this idea on pinterest. we did dot to dot monsters

jack had a lot of fun...which i was glad because sometimes (or a lot of times) he doesn't like to draw 

 our finished products (he got a little crazy with the last one)

 a few months ago i asked jack to write his name under where i wrote it. 

then today i asked him to do the same. we think he is doing a pretty good job for a 3 1/2 year old!

jack has known how to spell his name for a while, but i got it on camera of him spelling it. he is too cute!

i am waiting for a tooth to pop in anyday now! he is drooling and biting on his fingers

our weekend

 friday afternoon i took jack to get his "obey" prize. we have started something new to try to get jack to obey the first time i ask him to do something instead of the 3rd or 4th. it seems to be working...he is realizing when he obeys us which makes me happy and him happy! we give him a nickle everytime he obeys us the first time. when he gets 20 nickles we get to go tot he $1 store and get a prize. this is what he picked out...a glow stick gun. jack is really big into guns right now which is weird because we have never taught him about them. i think some kids at school have been pretending that they have guns...well atleast jack says so. anyway, he just earned another 20 nickles so we will be taking a trip to the $1 store! 

friday night johnny and i got to go out with our friends thanks to grandma coming over to babysit! 

 saturday morning we were going to go pick strawberries but it was closed! so we went to the farmer's market and then to an art show that our friend kelly was in. 

 jack got to build little houses

 a drunk guy asked for our camera so that he could take our picture

 we went to jason's deli for dinner and charlie sat in a public highchair for the first time

 sunday we went to church and then let charlie nap in the car and jack and i went to the park. jack said he was on an island. he had so much fun throwing rocks and digging with a stick

 charlie wore the shirt that we got him when we went on our aquarium trip when i was pregnant with him. it is a bit small, but who knew he would be such a big baby!

new car seat

 charlie outgrew his bucket seat so we had to move him to a big boy carseat! he got jack's old one and jack got a new one that he will use until he doesn't need a booster anymore. my babies are so big!!

 9 months

3 1/2 years

jack loves his cupholders and arm rests. he just wants to know why there are 2 cupholders. i told him one for his drink and one for his rocks!
