mama and me easter egg hunt

we had our mama and me egg hunt this morning. i didn't bring my camera out during the actual hunt, but i took these after the hunt. jack had fun and all the food was yummy :)

church easter egg hunt

the second egg hunt we went to was our church egg hunt. we got there a little late so all the eggs were gone. we didn't know if it would have started on time, but it did! the were trying to let the kids sleep until the last minute. next year we will have to get there ON TIME! luckily we ran into our friends from sunday school and they donated a little to jack :) thanks!!

after the egg hunt we got a snack and then played on the playground and let jack ride his scooter

and we went down to the creek and let jack throw some rocks

sunday school easter egg hunt

we have already been to 3 egg hunts (and still have 2 more). the first one we went to this year was at our sunday school easter bbq. it was a lot of fun! jack opened the first egg he found so i told him that you don't open the eggs until after the hunt. he understood and took off to find a whole basket of eggs. it is so much fun to watch the kids running after the eggs!

botanical gardens

we went to botanical gardens last weekend and really enjoyed the walk and the weather!

he said he was trying to transform the rock...to what i don't know.

easter egg math

i saw this activity on pinterest and thought i would give it a shot with jack. i was pleasantly surprised at how much he knew! he put ALL of them together correctly! i knew that he knew some of his numbers, but not all the way to 10. he can count to 20 (sometimes), but to know what the number looks like was impressive to me :)

in jack's mind it is always brother playtime. i said that i couldn't wait for the day that jack and charlie could play together...well now i can't wait for when charlie can play with jack. jack thinks that all day every day is jack play with charlie time! he is a little obsessed with charlie...which makes me happy...really it does, but it is hard because charlie doesn't really enjoy getting squished, tackled, laid on, pulled on, poked at, etc. i can see that they will be great friends though in the near future.

he doesn't seem to mind how jack holds him. jack doesn't hold charlie the typical way. i think he thinks it is fun!
