yesterday i got out a big piece of paper and some markers and let jack go to town. he tried to trace his foot and his hand. he actually did pretty good at tracing his hand.
then i thought i would have a teaching moment! i drew a triangle and asked what it was and he said triangle (except not that clearly). then i drew a circle and asked what it was and he said circle. then i drew a oval and asked what it was and he said oval just as plain as day. finally i drew a square and asked what it was and he said "fwear"
i wanted to see if he could draw a horizontal line and a vertical line. sure enough he can! i drew a line first and asked if he could do it. and he did. then i asked if he could draw a circle and he did (well kind of)... (my lines are pink and his are purple)
we went over to andrea and clara's the other day to let the kids play together (finally!) jack saw clara in the pink apron and decided that he wanted to wear it too!

jack is getting really good at coloring.

to some people this may look like he is the worst colorer ever! but i think he is making great progress!! he aims to color one thing now instead of coloring the whole page. he was trying to color the word camel with the red. he said "foot" when he was coloring them yellow.
super baby!! he wanted to do this...not me. i just helped! he loves to put on our clothes. he has been trying to put on shorts lately by himself. the hairnet came from publix. he said hat to the fish guy because he was wearing a hairnet. well, the fish guy said do you want a hat? of course jack said yes. so he brought him out one and jack wore it proudly through publix!! it was pretty funny! you should have see some of the looks that i got from people :)
we had a lot of fun at the levins family reunion this weekend at lake eufaula. the is the 2nd year we have done this and it is always lots of fun. i like seeing how much the kids have changed in a year. they have all changed a lot...especially jack and xander!

jack and i went to the zoo today for story time and to watch the lions. i asked jack what he wanted to see at the zoo today and he said "lions" so that is what we saw!!
we actually got to see them train the lions. it was really cool to hear them and see them that close. they said that they never go in with them even though they were raised in captivity...they are still lions and you can't trust them. so they do everything out side of the fence. they get them to stand up so that they can see under there belly and check for sores or anything else. they got them to lay down to check their back end. i think that jack liked seeing the lions, but it was really hot so when the show was over he was done!!
so we went to the splash pad...
jack was so brave today and actually played in the sprayers and not just the puddles!
johnny got to go to the zoo with jack and i on saturday (even though he was on call...i love that he chose pathology). we had so much fun!
we took jack's potty out of the box the other day. jack told us "tee tee" so we thought we would give it a shot (actually johnny thought to give it a shot). i was doing the dishes (story of my life..ha). so johnny took him back to his potty, sat him down and he went potty!!!! i thought for sure that he had already gone in his diaper because he will tell me after he goes potty all the time. anyway so when johnny called my name to come to the bathroom i was shocked!! i was so proud of jack. as you can tell from the picture he was super proud too. he hasn't done it again. i am not ready to potty train and i don't think he is either. we have so much going on right now (well atleast it feels like we do). maybe after this summer i will try it.
grandma got to go to kids gym with jack and i on monday morning. i think she had fun watching how much jack can do!!

i went to nashville on tuesday for the hanson concert. i left around 10:30 and got to molly's office around 1:45. i got to there early so that we could go on the walk with hanson! oh my. if you only knew how excited i have been about this! anyway, when we drove past the crowd of people waiting to go on the walk i squealed like a little girl!! molly told me to get out and that she would find a parking place and meet me....how nice is she?? so i hoped out and started the walk.
isaac walked my first...and then my crush (it's ok johnny knows) zac walks by!!!!!! i wish i could have screamed, but i remained calm and just watched them...i held back my drool! i just took pictures and watched! they are so dog gone cute!! then taylor walked by...
it was hot out there...not just because of 3 hot guys, but because it was 102 degrees!!

i had the best time at the hanson concert with my best friend molly!! it was the best hanson concert that i have ever been to (it was my 4th one)! i have loved them all but this one was amazing! they played a lot of old stuff which i love because it brought back so many memories for me! it was like i was a 14 year old girl again with hanson posters on my wall and reading BOP magazines!!
ever since i got home i have been obsessed with watching their videos and i am even following them on twitter!! haha! i am crazy. i will always love them till the day i die. i will be 85 years old and still rocking out to hanson!!!!
