pete LOVES the sun!

jack had a blast playing in an old flower pot yesterday. he played with it for like 30-40 minutes. he got so dirty, but he is a boy. i have to get used to him playing in the dirt!

jack has so much fun in the bath these days! he has always had fun, but he used to be what we like to call "the crazy man". johnny used to have to hold his arms while i bathed him because he wanted to stand up the whole time he was in there. anyway, now he just plays with his toys and listens to me...when i say "if you stand up you will have to get out"...he totally gets it! it is amazing! he sits down and doesn't stand up again. such a good boy!!

early easter celebration

since we are going to be in columbus for easter this year we had an early celebration with susan, jimmy, and laura this past sunday. jack had a mini easter egg hunt in our backyard.

we made yummy shrimp and grits for dinner and susan made these cute easter basket cupcakes for dessert!

fun family saturday!

we went to the zoo this past saturday. ty, emmie, and frank were supposed to come but emmie got the stomach bug :( so we decided to still go! we had so much fun! jack really likes looking at all the animals and petting the goats and sheep. we went to gilchrist afterward so that johnny could try their cherry limeade and pimento cheese blt. he approved! jack had a hot dog and really did great at lunch

everybody has been telling us that jack looks like johnny...we just think he looks like jack! but in this picture he does look like johnny!

we went to botanical gardens later saturday afternoon. it was beautiful outside! jack really could care less about the beautiful flowers...all he wants to do is play with the sticks and throw rocks! such a boy!

17 months old and drum lesson

jack is still really into his legos. he plays with them every day and every night. it is really fun to watch him build stuff and see him getting better and better at it. one of my favorite parts about him playing with them is seeing him clean up with me and then the best part is when he carries the bag of legos over to where we keep them in the den. it is so funny because the bag is like as big as he is and it is pretty heavy. he is such a good cleaner upper!

jack loves his drum we got from his gymboree class. he doesn't get to play with it all the time because he likes to stick the drum stick in his mouth or up his nose!! so it is a special toy that he gets to play with mommy and daddy.
anyway, he was playing like kiss the other night (sticking his tongue out)

i can't believe that jack is already 17 months old!! crazy! in 1 month he will be a year and a half old! even crazier!
about our 17 month old baby:

zoo day with grandmol

susan, jack, and i went to the zoo on friday morning. we had so much fun! jack really enjoyed seeing all the animals and waving hey at almost all of them! he liked having his grandmol there with him. there was a lot of construction there but that didn't stop us from having a great time. i don't mind the construction because that just means that it is going to get better and better.
this one is for papa! jack loved watching the chickens and roosters!

jack was so much fun at the petting zoo. he was so excited to see all the goats and sheep. he was really gentle with them (thank goodness) and not scared at all!

i can't believe how much he has changed since last year...

i think i have said this before but this is what jack likes to do with the laundry. he puts it on his head and thinks that it is hilarious that he can't see where he is going.
