i put this bib on pete (before i washed it). i just thought it was so cute so i had to post it :)

my tcby cake that johnny got me...yummy! we had some people over on saturday to celebrate my birthday. we grilled out and watched the olympics.

johnny got me flowers and he also got me my chair for the nursery, but it won't come in for another couple of weeks.

johnny cooked me breakfast on my birthday. he was going to make me breakfast in bed but i woke up and came out to see what he was doing and ruined his surprise...oops! (the coffee is decaf)

we finally got some of our furniture for jack's room!! we love it. we will get our crib next weekend when my parents bring it down for us :)

dot's painting and dad's bookshelf

these are a couple of gifts we got at the shower that i thought everybody would be impressed with. the painting is by my mom's friend dot and my dad built and painted the bookshelf for jack. we loved all the gifts we got at the shower and thank everybody for being so nice to us. we were really glad that johnny's mom and sue got to come from birmingham to the shower.

dot is around 80 years old and just recently took up painting as a hobby. i think she is really good and can capture the real personality of the animals that she paints.

my dad did a great job with jack's bookshelf and my mom did a great job matching the paint to jack's bedding. they make a good team!! my mom has been searching for all the books that were on my cousins list that her kids liked to fill up the bookshelf. also johnny's sister mary and neice molly sent us some books that molly likes to read to jack. my mom's friend gave us some good books too. so we will have a lot of books to read to jack in his new room!! thanks everybody!

shower in columbus

i had a shower in columbus this weekend. we had a great time! we had ice cream sundaes and cake.

johnny and i decided to take an afternoon trip to the beach. the weather was perfect and we had so much fun (especially pete!).

28 week picture on the beach

jack is now about 2 1/4 pounds and about 14.8 inches long. this week is he can blink his eyes which now have eye lashes :)
