my trip to columbus with the boys

last wednesday the boys and i took a trip to columbus because johnny went to vegas for a conference. i didn't want to be alone and thought my parents house would be the best place for us to go! jack had a blast!! charlie did great and i had lots of help. win win win!

thursday morning we took charlie to get his 3 month pictures taken. jack did awesome and just laid on one of their props

jack decided that he wanted to take a nap in the big bed. how cute is this picture?? i moved him away from the edge though

jack loved dinner and dessert, but DID NOT like the playground. it was a really tall slide with a really tall stairway. he freezed in the middle and wouldn't come down alone. mimi came to his rescue!! too bad i don't have a picture of that :)

we came home saturday afternoon and molly came to stay with me. thank goodness she was here for grocery store runs and charlie's middle of the night coughing attack!

church fall festival

jack had a lot of fun playing games, painting a pumpkin, jumping in a bounce house, and eating popcorn.

jack said he had to paint his pumpkin all green! it was the longest jack has sat to do a craft in a long time!!

i promise these jeans are not high waters :) they just did that when he sat in the chair. i tried and tried to pull them down, but i didn't want him to stand up since i finally got him to sit still!

tuesday we had our halloween party at mama and me. jack kept on his costume almost the whole time. i am feeling guilty for not being more creative with the boys costumes this year, but with a 3 year old, 3 month old, birthday party, baptism, interviews for fellowship, and more i thought i just couldn't make them one. maybe next year. and next year i am waiting until the last minute because jack has decided that he wants to be a pirate. he talks about being a pirate a lot, but we got his costume early in october to be ahead of the game. oh well!! he's not too upset to be thomas :)

we went to botanical gardens as a family this last week. it was so fun!

jack is really into kicking a ball that i got him. he is practicing for when he starts soccer!!

johnny taught jack how to roll down a hill. it was really funny to watch jack trying to do it!
