new shoes!! we figured it was about time to get jack some new shoes since he is now a size 6 and we have been squeezing his foot into a 4!
he loves his new shoes along with every other shoe in our house!

we went through a car wash last night and we can finally see his reaction now that we turned his carseat around. i know he looks kind of scared in this picture but he isn't. he really liked it! he looked around the whole time and was really into it! i think we will have to get the car washed more often :)


jack got his christmas present early from mimi and papa! it is his very own chair. he loves it and for sure knows that it is for him. he ran right over to it after i put it together and ran right over to it after his nap. jack says thanks mimi and papa!

like a real man, jack ran over to his toy box, grabbed his remote and ran over to his chair with it!! (no kidding)

we finished our kitchen yesterday during jack's nap. it looks wonderful! i love the green and how it flows into the den. it makes the glass tile pop.

we painted all the places that needed to be white too. i am so glad that it is finally done!

we painted the spot right by the stove that had the old countertop backsplash.

jack was invited to a birthday party last night at an inflatable play center. he had a blast (i kind of figured he would) he wasn't afraid of anything! he ran around like a crazy man and wanted to play in everything. we went down the big slide about 5 or 6 times, jumped in the moonwalk (that's what i call it), and went through the inflatable obstacle course once.

he became a little obsessed with this and did NOT want to share the bat. so we had to run past this area so that he wouldn't see it!!

goldfish

jack loves goldfish! he definately loves carbs just like his momma and daddy! his favorites right now are ritz, goldfish, cheerios, poptarts, powdered donuts, and pizza (not the cheese). when i put powdered donuts into the cart he goes crazy and wants them right away!! he also loves the graduates yogurt melts. he still has a fit over popsicles! he likes orange juice. still hates milk!! (any hints to get a 1 year old to drink milk would be appreciated) i have tried chocolate, strawberry, watering it down, giving it to him in every sippy cup we own, giving it to him from our glass, etc. anyway, he is becomming a better eater and only gagging on food every now and then! he drinks water really well from a sippy with a straw.

when we woke up saturday morning this is what we saw!! it was beautiful! we immediately got bundled up and went out to play before it melted. jack didn't really like the cold snow on his hands so we only played for a bit. it sure was pretty while it lasted!

we went to zoolight safari on sunday night. it was so pretty but really really cold! we only stayed for about 45 minutes because it was so cold

his little hands were so cold that johnny gave him his gloves...we need to get jack some gloves and a hat before we go next time

jack is so relaxed in his carseat. i didn't get the reaction that i was hoping for...laughter, smiles, etc. oh well...i am glad that he is a good car rider!

we had a major boo boo today! jack pulled the stocking holder and stocking off of the mantle and onto his head. i am a bit embarrassed, mad at myself, and sad that this happened, but accidents happen. we had them up on our shelves but took them down to take a picture and never put them back up. jack hasn't even come near them (for 3 days) until i turned my back today to clean up his toys...and bam! anyway, i put this on there to warn other parents to take your stockings off of the mantle!

this is one of jack's new favorite games to play...he stirs imaginary things up in cups and bowls :)
yesterday jack brought a word book to me and i said "where is the ball?" and he pointed to it. then i asked "where is the hat?" and he looked at all the pics and pointed to it. last i said "where is the shoe?" and he pointed to it!!
he knows where his toes are and will point to them when i ask. he knows where his bellybutton is and where others noses are, but not his own.
he cleaned up with me for the first time today. we put up his wooden blocks together and then we cleaned up his legos together. smart boy!!

scary moment: jack can climb halfway up the babygate now...not long before he will be climbing over it! i think we need to get one that doesn't have places for him to put his feet
